Jackson laid to rest…finally

Pop star Michael Jackson is laid to rest Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
 
The private funeral will be attended at 7 p.m. PST inside the Great Mausoleum by very close friends and family.
 
After the memorial service, the guests will dine at an Italian restaurant for a "time of celebration," according to the nine-page invitation.
 
It has been confirmed by CNN that singer Gladys Knight will perform. Not many details are provided regarding the funeral. Media will be kept at a distance.
 
Jackson died on June 25, 2009.
