The Adventures of the Unemployed Man
November 23, 2010By Tasan Thompson

From New York Times bestselling authors Eric Erich Origen and Gan Golan comes a new and exciting comic relief titled The Adventures of Unemployed Man.

The main character: "Unemployed Man" experiences many common problems such as working three underpaid jobs, having to raise children of his own, and finding ways to cover bills and expenses.

According to the authors, this comic was inspired by everyday people who face everyday struggles. It is a parody of the classic superhero comic. In it, Unemployed Man and his team of down-but-not-out superheroes battle the proverbial villains who dwell in the Hall of Just Us, devising sinister plots that threaten the world.

With characters that are both young, old and in between, the creators try to demonstrate that anyone can be a hero regardless of this economic crisis.

"We chose a superhero story -- with everyday heroes fighting against economic super villains -- because it was, amazingly, not that far from the truth," said Origen and Golan.

This hilarious short series will give readers a bit of relief about their current status in this recession. It coils everyday struggles with laughter and generates something to look forward to that relates and adds a bit of glamor to the lay-man.
