Earthquake strikes Haiti

The southern part of the island of Haiti was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday.

"The only thing I can do now is pray and hope for the best," the ambassador, Raymond Alcide Joseph told CNN.

It has been reported that buildings as well homes have collapsed and the people of Haiti are out of electricity.

A magnitude of 5.9 aftershock followed by 5.5 aftershock came soon after the initial earthquake.
