In Cinnaminson, New Jersey, a man charged with shoplifting paid his bail with fake money.
Authorities said that the 25-year-old New Jersey man arrested July 7 for shoplifting at a clothing store and supermarket, was locked up for having two outstanding warrants. The man proceeded to pay off his $400 bail in cash. The police soon found out the money was fake.
Before police could find the man, he came back to the courthouse and demanded that his bail should have only been $200 and that he wanted his other $200 back.
The man was charged with counterfeiting and put in Burlington County Jail on $5,000 bail.
