Massacres in Mexico
November 6, 2010By Tasan Thompson

A series of killings occurring within and at the border of Mexico have Mexican and American investigators in confusion.

In the last two weeks of October, brutal massacres all occurring in less than a week left forty-one people dead. A spokeswoman from Nayarit state attorney general's office explained that the workers were all men just washing cars. Gunmen happened to drive up in SUVs and start "opening fire." Unfortunately, 13 to 15 were found dead including an innocent bystander.

According to The Christian Science Monitor, 13 recovering addicts were lined up against a wall and shot dead on October 17 at a drug rehab center in Tijuana and gunmen killed 14 at birthday party in border city Ciudad Juárez on Friday October 23.

In recent news this week in Ciudad Juarez, there were four different attacks leaving four American citizens dead.

According to CNN News, last Saturday, a 26-year-old American woman was slain shortly after crossing an international bridge from El Paso along with an American boy and Mexican man. Authorities also identified a 24-year-old woman killed Friday inside a tortilla shop as Lorena Izaguirre, a U.S. citizen and El Paso resident.

Investigators assume that there is no connection or motive for the killings of U.S. citizens, yet there is some form of drug cartel correlation with the massacres in Mexico.
