Sparks Flew on Valentine's Day @ Luxe
February 15, 2013By Tiffani Knowles

Sparks flew at the Valentine's Day Party at The Luxe Lounge last night with music, food and dancing.

Guest DJ Mark Xclusive and host Glen Thornhill were instrumental in getting the crowd involved in Valentine's activities ranging from Soca line dancing to a "battle of the sexes" trivia to marriage tributes.

Attendees, decked out in valentine-themed red and white get-ups, exhibited energy that transcended most of the dreamy-eyed, laidback vibe that characterizes the average Valentine's event.

The event kicked off with salsa dancing for all the early comers from 7 -8 p.m.

Once the event got going, guests were entertained by the romantic serenading of Envil Cruickshank and couples who received private reserved tables basked in their love.

Next, was a special dance performance marked by comedic timing and aerial stunts courtesy of organization Dance for Change, who -with partial proceeds from the event - will help build a well in Africa through charity organization Charity:Water.

The question of the night for the singles was: How far is too far?

Thornhill circulated the room to pick the brain of all of the unmarried folk to determine how men and women should interact with one another while dating or courting.

There seemed to be some consensus on things like kissing being too much for unmarried folks and on a man dropping off a woman after a date. However, where men and women differed was that men think women should give them a hint of their affections; meanwhile, women believe that playing hard to get is a much better option.

After a hype session of more music and dancing, audiences expressed their delight with the goings on at the event.

The evening closed with a beautiful time of corporate worship with everyone singing, "How Great is Our God!"

The next event at The Luxe Lounge is March 29, a Spring Bling Jesus Thing party with guest DJ Mr.E from Miami, Florida.
