Dr. Chakrabarti Myers is an assistant professor of History at Indiana University. Originally from Canada, Dr. Myers is a historian of the black female experience
in the United States whose main interests are race, gender, freedom
and citizenship and the ways in which these constructs intersect in the lives of black women, particularly in the antebellum
South.
