Dyrie Francis holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from University of Miami, FL, and a Diploma in Theological Studies from Jamaica Open Bible Institute. She is a motivator, teacher, and a critical thinker. Dyrie is published, and was a reviewer for the American Association of Critical Care Nursing's (AACN) Clinical Reference for Critical Care Nursing, 2nd Ed. Lately, she contributed to "Heart for the Harvest, Stories of Vision, Faith & Courage", a biographical history of Open Bible Churches.
Dyrie is an ordained minister of Open Bible Churches, USA. She travels extensively and speaks to local and international audiences with her husband Karl. For over 10 years, Dyrie has worked with high school and college age students as mentor, facilitator and currently as Program Director for Youth ministries at her local church. She is at the heartbeat of many issues confronting today's youth and young adults.
Other professional experiences include working for 16 years as a cardiac nurse and Nurse Educator/Organizational Development Specialist at one of Miami's largest city hospitals. She co-developed and implemented an AIDS education program for her hospital and subsequently utilized this material to prepare Miami's Catholic school administrators and several businesses to cope with the AIDS epidemic. She also served as Adjunct faculty at the University of Miami school of Nursing.
