Dr. Sherry Davis Molock is an Associate Professor of
Psychology at George Washington University
in Washington, DC. She teaches undergraduate and
doctoral students in the area of clinical psychology. Her research focuses on
depression and suicide in African American adolescents and young adults,
where she tries to develop suicide prevention programs in African American
churches. In addition to her research, she and her husband Guy
Molock serve as the pastors of the Beloved
Community Church
in Fort Washington MD. The Beloved Community
Church is an open and
affirming Christian church whose mission involves: "Transforming
Hearts, Restoring Spirits, Empowering Minds." The church will be
celebrating its 2nd anniversary on May 23rd 2010. Dr. Molock has been happily
married for nearly 24 years to her soul mate, Rev. Guy Molock and they
are the proud parents of three children who they affectionately refer
to as the Molock Jewels: Amber, 19; Jelani, 17; and Diarra, 15.
